I feel like I wind up apologizing for my jokes a lot. So here's another one:
MSI is my favorite band. Their songwriting is clever, intensely original, and really
catchy. Their live show is also one of the best things I've seen.
That having been said, however, I feel that sometimes the band feels they're doing the
fanbase a favor when they aren't. Ex: it's great that you have package deals at
the store so that you can get cool rare shit. It is however, NOT great that this "package" is
simply the same 4 goddamn albums (with each one, save the standard edition having a bonus track
or a bonus 4 song live dvd). Essentially, the cost is 60$ for the album (plus three tracks)
and a t-shirt, plus a limited edition vinyl single.
I fucking hate it when bands put exclusive shit on vinyl. Vinyl is dead, let it the fuck
go. The only people who fucking listen to records anymore are indie snobs because, gee, who
DOESN'T want music that comes on an easily damaged format, with lesser sound quality unless you
have a top notch turntable, that is a pain to get onto your computer? SIGN ME UP KIDS!
I feel that it is only fair to mention that I pre-ordered "If" sometime back in March. Yes,
I'm a consumer whore, although I plan to only buy this album once. I have heard it though, and
it's really fucking good. Worth 60$ to buy it 4 times and get a crappy record and a t-shirt? few
things are 60$ good, and I just don't like feeling cheated. Unless the t-shirt is REALLY awesome.
Cocks, etc.
